Welcome to The Coaching Corner Ashley, let's hear your insights:
What advice can you give to those who can't seem to find their life purpose and are growing frustrated?"
"...follow the nudges..."
Ashley: My advice when it comes to struggling to find your soul purpose is to follow the nudges, meaning do things that interest and excite you right now or things your childhood self had fun doing. It could be signing up for a paint night event, have a karaoke night, or going to a dance class. Try taking a step into that activity and see where it takes you. The main thing here is that you should be enjoying the process and let yourself out to play.
If that doesn't activate anything, you can also go through the Ikigai exercise, answering the 4 questions:
1. What do I love?
2. What am I good at?
2. What can I get paid to do?
4. What does the world need more of?
By being able to answer these 4 questions, you should be able to see some sort of trend between the 4 answers which will help you move towards taking action.
Find Your F*ckyeah is a fantastic book to read if you're also struggling to find your thing. It's a bold guide to finding your unique purpose and uncensored self, purchase today by clicking here.
How did you find your passion for coaching and know this was the career for you?
"I knew I wanted to help others..."
Ashley: I found this concept of Ikigai that asks 4 questions that will lead you to your purpose. When I completed the exercise I realized I wanted to coach people to live their life with purpose doing what they genuinely love. I'm a child of two nurses and knew I wanted to help others but I didn't want to go into the medical field. When I came across coaching, I realized this was how I could help people.
This is a great insight into how Ashley found her passion. Often, we might feel the need to emulate what we see others doing, for example, our parents. Nevertheless, it is important to identify what you love and your own individual likes and dislikes in order to find true fulfillment. Like Ashley, she liked the idea of helping others but didn't think she would like the medical field, therefore she ventured out and stumbled across some new options which included coaching.
Perhaps you can try this method too? What careers and passions do you see the people around you doing that you think you can find elements of joy within? Take these points and venture out with them, see what you can find.

How do you stay focused and motivated on your path towards happiness and success?
Ashley: I have a morning routine that includes looking at my vision board and reading my vision statement to remind me of what my future filled with purpose, happiness, and success is going to be.
It is so important to start your day with the right frame of mind. Everything that happens within the first few moments of waking up usually sets the tone for how your morning and potentially the rest of your day will be. Admiring your vision board seems to be a very popular technique that many people use in order to start their day on a positive foot, allowing their decisions to be guided by their future goals.
Vision boards have often had quite a bit of speculation surrounding them (I too was somebody that didn't quite get it). But the science is there, it really is. It works because, throughout the day, you constantly study and take glimpses of your vision board. Essentially, you end up doing short visualisation exercises that end up attracting all the necessary elements into your life, allowing you to get closer towards achieving your goals as each day goes by.
Finally, inspired by the show 'Inside the Actor’s Studio', Ashley:

Ashley: Event planner
